Greg Gutfeld
Greg Gutfeld is worth listening to, despite being particularly unfunny.
This guy keeps popping up on my YouTube autoplay. His actual show is pretty mediocre. It’s like some dumbed down PC version of Red Eye with Gavin McInnes. Hell, the logo is a straight ripoff of the Garfield! movie logo. I’m not sure how many Garfield 3-D animated movies there are, but I suspect not many. It wasn’t very good. That’s Gutfeld’s show, not very good.
This guy has been on TV for 20 years or more apparently, I don’t know and I’m not Googling it. I can’t really take a terrible amount of this guy, but that’s fine. It only takes the two minutes of his pre-show monologue to get all the information it has to offer. Which is about 40% more than most news-related shows.
Gutfeld!’s format actually works really well for Gutfeld’s persona. Despite being clever and well-spoken, he’s only tolerable in small doses. Fortunately, he delivers a litany of facts and news prior to the “entertainment” part of the show. I like to imagine that this is intentional, that a career media personality is using his expertise to bypass the system’s rules to deliver truth to viewers.
It’s great that someone worthy of note isn’t afraid to share facts and not just commentary. Now we just need someone a little more serious and grounded to start doing the same. Preferably not someone on FOX.
