There’s really two levels of odor one notices about the way a black person smells. A lot of them are poor. Poor people smell bad. Most likely, most black people you may have interacted with are poor black people, and thus are going to smell quite poor.

And black.

Trying to properly explain what 'negroes smell like is akin to explaining what chicken tastes like.
You just need to experience it and you’ll understand.

If you have the luxury of knowing not-poor black people, you can use them to get a scent of black to properly appreciate the full-bodied aroma of North American Negro. Just sneak up and give ‘em the ol’ Joe Biden!
(That’s right, folks, Africans smell differently than American blacks!)
