Weekly Stock Picks
I had all of 18 minutes to figure out my game plan for Monday morning. Fortunately, some things fell in place rather nicely. Now, for those of us that started investing with our first $100 in October, we’re feeling pretty comfortable with our beginning foray into investing. Even without the boon that has been RIOT.
If this is your first week, and you’re just getting out of rehab/jail/debt, you can still benefit thanks to fractional shares. I’m not sure if you get dividends on anything less than a full share. I want to say no, but Robinhood might actually pay it out. And if you’ve moved on from Robinhood, then….why are you here?
HNNA - This stock pays a dividend, ex-div is this week. Joe Biden personally texted me and recommended it. One of the company’s primary focuses is domestic equity. That’s all I need to know. (I’m kidding. It doesn’t matter what they do, if Joe Biden texts you saying “Buy”, you buy!)
HIW - I’m looking at this as a very safe long-term hold. Also, dividends.
JNJ - Ex-div this week (Ex-dividend date is the date you must own the stock by in order to qualify. I like to add an extra day or two if I’m using unsettled funds or naming my own price with a GTC).
UEC - Uranium. ‘Nuff said. I’m looking at that $3 put with $.78 premium. But I don’t have $300, so I’ll just grab a few shares…for now.
ADIL - This stock will be worthless in 5 years. Until then, it’s going to go up. They’re producing a drug that lets alcoholics drink without consequence. They’ve got patents for over a decade, and trading on the cheap. (If you have access to warrants, I’d pick up ADILW).
Okay, so even if this pill can let an alcoholic drink without getting caught by compulsion….that’s all well and good, but clearly they’ve never met an alcoholic. We train our bodies to be able to get drunk while taking Antabuse. If this were trading closer to $11 or higher, I would be more hesitant.
‘Cuz if you think every alcoholic in the world isn’t going to pay whatever it costs to get those magic pills, you’ve never met an alcoholic.
