Rocky’s Weekly Stock Picks

This week will likely be pretty boring. Just feels that way. Not feeling the options…yet… but we may do some deep ITM call spreads on CLOV. It’s a healthcare penny stock type deal, and we expect it to remain above $3 for the week. So, there’s that.

  1. GOOD, GAIN, GLAD, etc - We love the Gladstone securities for moderate growth. $22, $16, $12 share prices, relatively. We rounded them off, those aren’t accurate. They all ex-div on Tuesday. The yields are moderate, in the 5-6% ballpark.

  2. LTC - $36.60 share price, ex-div on Tuesday, 3/22, annualized 6.37% paid in monthly increments of $0.19 a share. Nice.

    We really like LTC.

  3. FTCH - $14.37/share, options trade monthly. This is some sort of fashion company, they do things with clothes. We like the price ranges we'‘ve seen, and at the moment feel that below $15 is a good time to buy, even if we’re still building to 100 shares.

A LEAP, of course, is always a nice option on a budget. Or really, just in general.

  4. ORC - $3.25 a share, get it while it’s cheap to average down. If you don’t hold any shares, then you’ll want to take into consideration the possibility that this awesome REIT might not be awesome enough to survive for much longer.

We think it will. If, however, we didn’t hold any shares and hadn’t been following this one for a while now, we’d give it a hard pass.

This doesn’t ex-div until 3/30, so there’s time to decide.

  5. ELUXY - $33.88, ex-div 3/31. 24.55% annualized return ($8.32). That’s like $2 our first year. Why the anomaly? ELUXY is OTC, and the $6 fee is well worth owning stock in a company called “Electrolux”. We were already sold on Electrolux, name alone.

When has a high-yield OTC stock ever been a bad choice?

We kid, of course. However, we also know that many successful companies trade OTC for sheer simplicity, often foreign companies. Like Electrolux. Here’s some information regarding Electrolux.

*ADR Fees (This doesn’t matter, to be honest. Maybe one day we’ll care, but for now we don’t. Largely because all of our ADR holds pay out dividends or trade options.)
