Rocky’s Weekly Stock Picks

At the last minute this week, it was brought to our attention that Monday is President’s Day.

We’re fed up with all these bank closure holidays. Holidays are bad for society, and worse for our collective mood at Rockydennis Presents.

However, we don’t get too down and don’t get too depressed. Whenever we need positivity based in reality, we can always turn to Fleccas Talks the Podcast, ranked the best new podcast of all time. And that’s very cool.

  1. NOK - $3.51/share, weekly options, 3.71% annualized return distributed quarterly. The dividends are relatively new, and may not last forever. As far as options go, this is a European company and these are ADR’s, so we’ve basically got European options here.

What this mean is that the price stays generally stable. Typically we’ll see a small spike followed by a very gradual trend downward.

More importantly, however, we need to own more shares of this company to increase the weight of our votes.

  2. HAS - $51.05/share, 5.48% annually paid quarterly. Options trade monthly. We got in at just under $100, so we’re happy to average down.

We feel pretty confident that $50 is a hard bottom, and we can only go up from here.

Hasbro is a toy brand, you may have heard of it.

  3. LTC - $31.47/share, 7.24% annual return distributed monthly. This is one of our favorite REITs. The price has remained largely stable since it’s been available. Initially around $40, these shares have hovered around $30 for quite some time.

This is what we like to see in a REIT.

  4. ETRN - $10.53/share, 5.7% annualized return. Pipelines. Primarily gas and water. You’ve got the resource, they’ve got the pipes. Transmit today!

That’s the short version. Companies that handle critical infrastructure are always a solid investment.

This is most likely a PTP, but we didn’t really double-check. This is one of those we just put some dollars into every month and let it pay out!

  5. TPHD - $33.33/share, 2.24% annualized yield, 0.52% expense ratio. This is a solid ETF. The dividend payout can vary somewhat, but the share price remains stable with a slight overall upward trend.

We like this one, especially when dividends are high across the board.
