Rocky’s Weekly Stock Picks

This week we’re focusing on things we need in our lives. With this self-reflection, we gain insight into what stocks we need in our portfolio.

  1. SWBI - $13.09, quarterly dividends returning 3.68%, next ex-div is 12/20. Options trade monthly.

    We all need guns, and who else but Smith & Wesson to provide you with all the defense you need?

  2. RGR - $43.63/share, Sturm Ruger & Co. pays a quarterly dividend of 2.9%. They also make guns!

    Hurray for guns! Options trade monthly.

  3. POWW - $2.02/share, no dividend, options trade monthly. This symbol represents AMMO Inc, an ammunition manufacturer. It’s hard to shoot a gun without any bullets or shot!

    It also owns and operates GunBroker.com, an auction site that supports the lawful sale of firearms, ammunition, and hunting/shooting accessories.

    Ammo and gun sales, what’s not to love? Don’t let this penny stock scare you!

  4. NOC - $460/share, weekly options, and quarterly dividends at 1.61%.

    We don’t just believe in guns for us, we believe in guns for everyone - including our military! In fact, especially our military! So we did a Yahoo! search for who makes a certain kind of weapon for the military, and this was our first result;

    Sep 8, 2020 · BREAKING: Northrop Grumman Lands $13 Billion Deal for New Nuclear Missiles.

    We totally searched for who makes nukes for the US.

  5. SIGCY - $22.95/share, $0.53/share paid annually for a 2.29% return. No options. ADR fees apply.

    We were trying to find SIG Sauer, but they don’t trade on NYSE and we don’t have access to the Swiss stock exchange (yet). So what is this group?

    To be honest, we assumed (and still assume) it’s somehow part of the same SIG family. In any case, here’s what this particular group is up to…

    SIG Group AG provides aseptic carton packaging systems and solutions for beverage and liquid food products. The company provides aseptic carton filling lines, aseptic carton sleeves and closures, bag-in-box, and spouted pouch, as well as spare parts, maintenance, digital, add-on, training, and other services. It primarily operates in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia Pacific, and the Americas.

    Oh, so they sell packaging to the world. And apparently digital products? Probably an app that lets you subscribe to buying packaging.
