Rocky’s Weekly Stock Picks
This week we’re tightening our purse strings, putting away our summer purses, and refilling our coinpurses.
Wait, what?
PRDSY - $12.00/share, ADR Fees, one dividend paid last paid in June of $0.3864/share. This stock is traded OTC pink. These are shares of Prada SpA. Prada SpA is an Italy-based company engaged in fashion industry. The Company is a parent of the Prada Group. This works for us.
PRDSF - $5.90/share, no ADR fees, no dividend. Another way to get your hands into Prada SpA, these shares are also traded OTC.
Trading over-the-counter can get pricey, unless you use TradeStation’s desktop application. Tradestation doesn’t charge commission for OTC trades! They do, however, charge a $10/month fee if you don’t have at least 10 trades in the previous 90 days.
This isn’t hard to maintain, since you can literally buy and sell penny (actual $0.01) stocks without commission.RL - $112.14/share, ex-div 9/28, $0.75/share distribution paid quarterly, options trade monthly. This symbol represents shares of Ralph Lauren Corp. Do you like Polo shirts? What about money, do you like money?
If fashion is your passion, you can’t go wrong with buying into Ralph Lauren. The company also operates high-end restaurants. Bet you didn’t know that. (Or maybe you did…we didn’t..until now!)NKE - $90.85/share, ex-div was 9/1 for quarterly payments annualized at 1.5%, options trade weekly.
Now maybe you don’t have $9000 laying around to buy a lot and start writing covered calls, but now would still be a good time to buy some shares of this behemoth, as the price is on the decline.
Unless you think Nike won’t be making money 20 years from now…if you think Nike is going to fail as a company in the next decade, then don’t buy discounted shares of this household name.RKCY - $14.85/share, quarterly dividends of $0.155/share. Rocky brands is kind of a no-brainer here.
What do they manufacture? Boots and apparel. One of their largest buyers? Just a little outfit, maybe you’ve heard of them, known as the United States military.
Yeah, that’s right. United States military is buying their boots. Or do you think combat boots are going to not be a thing?
Best of all, this stock price is down, down, down…so we’re going to buy, buy, buy!
