Rocky’s Weekly Stock Picks
Wow, the news is saying bad things about Credit Suisse, and apparently UBS wants to impose ESG on the bank. And apparently one of the board members decided to be a transsexual. Jesus Christ.
Back to basics, folks. …what? Sell our CS shares? Of course not, don’t be ridiculous.
ACVF - $30.41/share. American Conservative Values Fund. There’s some pithy amount distributed quarterly, whatever. This is just a solid place to put your money where you can get some pennies.
TPHD - $29.99/share. Timothy Plan High Dividend stock ETF. Ex-div for this quarter’s distribution was earlier this month. Christian values. The return is around 2.5%, and the price is stable.
EIDO - $22.89/share, semi-annual distributions, about 2.9%, iShares MSCI Indonesia is a solid place to park money while being exposed to the lucrative Indonesian market.
CMA - $40.40/share, distributions seem kind of oddly spaced, but we’re just interested in buying this stock at a discount. Comerica Bank’s common stock share price took a hit on Friday, after showing a 7% since January 2021.
It’s been a hot minute since CMA share price was this low. BUY!UEC - $2.65/share, options trade monthly. Great time to buy at a discount!
There seems to be some sort of massive short selling, and the person behind it is deriding the company as not being profitable. The primary argument being that UEC has been acquiring mines, uranium, and other companies more than it has been actually mining.
That’s worthy of consideration, but it only seems to suggest the company will continue to thrive. We suspect the individual trying to throw shade on uranium is an ESG fanboy.
If the only thing the company ever did was acquire ownership of uranium mines and uranium mining companies, then they’re going to control more and more of the supply - regardless of whether they actually commit to physical actions in real life.
The only thing that doesn’t make sense is why uranium isn’t embraced. The notion that it would somehow supplant natural gas, oil, and coal is absolutely ridiculous. Humans are really, really, good at using (and wasting) energy. The demand will only ever increase.
