Rockydennis Presents highly recommends this item. It's not for the fact that it cuts down the time it takes to microwave food dramatically. It isn't the cost effectiveness of not having to essentially get a new plastic bag every time you want a quick potato. It's not even the fact that these re-usable bags are environmentally friendly when the time comes to dispose of them (never).
The most important aspect of these bags is the potential for flavor enhancement.
You could rinse out the bag in between potatoes and use different seasonings/spices and fats/oils…or…
Over time the bag itself will become seasoned. It will start to give everything you cook in it your own unique background flavor. Even washing after each use, it’ll start taking on the flavors of whatever you put in it.
Remember those yams and cobs of corn? What I would do, honestly, is take a cooked/cooking steak and put it in the bag, just to get the flavors in there. Then cook the potatoes and corn or whatever. (Squashes are great candidates for the nuclear sous vide).
