This is a real thing. Cocaine was found…in pretty much every room of the British Parliament building. This includes the bathroom next to Boris Johnson’s office.

I’m not sure that wealthy/powerful people using drugs should surprise anyone. Especially in the UK, where laws are specifically written PROTECTING the right to possess and consume alcohol in the Parliament.

Boris made an hilarious attempt to deflect the issues of cocaine use back in 2005. He really should have just not said anything…which thankfully is what he appears to be doing this time around.

I have no idea why he was being asked about cocaine in 2005, but I assume it’s because he’s a politician and George W. Bush made doing cocaine a thing.

I suspect that similar stories happened in 1995, and 1985, and 1975…. I feel like the same record is being played over and over, year after year. Sometimes the faces and voices change, that’s about it.

Anyway, that’s about it from me on this one. Drugs in Parliament, oh no! Who would have ever guessed?! Honestly I think we’re secretly happy they’re getting high - at least there’s a rational excuse for their poor decisions and irrational fear of haircuts.
