Rocky’s Weekly Stock Picks

….That explains nothing. This week I’ve played with some call credit spreads, and a call debit spread. I’m not quite there with having my head wrapped around it 100%. I know basically if you sell and buy two calls out of the money, with the one you buy being the higher strike, then if the stock stays below a certain price…ahh, I think if it stays neutral is the only way you lose money, and the max you can lose is capped. That’s the main thing with the spread, it mitigates your losses on buying calls if the prices go against you. Anyway…

  1. NAK - If nothing else, you can write calls for more than $1 again. If you’re as on board with NAK as I am, (and no one is as on board as I am), then you know this is the time to buy the bulk of whatever practical amount you want to lock in under $1.

  2. ABBV - At $110 or so a share right now, I am trying real hard not to regret my decision to sell the dozen shares I had at just under $90. But, that’s not why I bought it. I bought it for the kickass dividend. You’ll need to before the end of market on 1/14, though.

  3. ARR - While we’re on about dividends, this is a solid one to have. Ex-div is 1/14 as well. This is a REIT, and housing prices are supposedly staying neutral/going up this year before the supposed housing crash happens. IF any of that noise matters to you, I think it’s safe to buy and hold for a year for tax purposes then get out immediately.

  4. VBIV - The Robinhood freebie stock. While it does get some of that good volatility for writing calls, it also tends to stay around the $3-3.50 range. I played with bouncing different spreads around day-to-day, made a couple bucks. Oh also, I literally do not care if I lose my shares to exercise. Lulz.

  5. T - I’m not looking up the ex-div date even as I am in the perfect position to do so right at this moment. It’s soon. Or was recent. Regardless, it’s under $30 and under $30 is always a good price for T. HBOMAX is gonna build a following and eventually take marketshare from inferior platforms, such as Peacock.. If anyone can get in on an already inundated market, AT&T can. Or at least they can pay that fat dividend.

Cryptocurrency Extra!

Ethereum

Ethereum is over $1000, damn. Wish I had bought the actual coins when they were at $280. Anyway, like most of the big coin names, Ethereum tends to follow Bitcoin, but without such drastic ups and downs. There’s some technical differences and also you gotta cough up gas money when you move Ethereum around (or something like that). Gwei I think it’s called. Like a Bitcoin’s Satoshi. None of that matters, BECAUSE Betfury just put out its first Ethereum Box, and notes that it plans on doing more boxes across multiple currencies.

“But Rocky!”, you say, “Just what the hell are you talking about? What are these boxes all about?”. Well my friend, Betfury’s boxes allow you to deposit set amounts of cryptocurrency for 7 to 30 days, with interest rates of 7% to 10% respectively. The Pandora box lets you deposit significantly more BItcoin but only has a 5% and 9% rate of interest. Also, you need to be rank 3 which means wagering something $1000.

“But Rocky!,” you say, “What’s Betfury? And for that matter, what’s Bitcoin?”

Tell you what. Have some links and referrals. You’re smart, you’ll figure it out.

Cryptocurrency exchange servicing the United States. Using my link we’ll both get free cryptocurrencies. Actually you’ll get most of them anyway, so you could tell me to go F myself and just go directly to Coinbase. Hilarious.

Betfury. You could, in theory, become a Bitcoin Billionaire without ever spending money. I’m serious. Except there aren’t going to be a billion Bitcoins.
